Many anthropologists believe that the hammock dates back some 1,000 years to Central America, where the Maya and other indigenous peoples crafted them out of tree bark or plant fibers.

When I moved to the Amazon years ago I felt in love with the relationship that indigenous people have with their hammock, and how they carry theirs everywhere so they could take a moment to rest, as a necessary  thing to do in life.

As to work for their food, as to take care of their children. They always remembered to take some time during the day to rest and recharge.

Reducing unnecessary excess, our online sustainable hammocks store was born from the desire to live in a more balanced world. We create products that reminds you to recharge. Take this as a daily habit- necessary.
